Trish Hammer and Carter Turner

Trish Hammer started her pickleball journey in 2021 and since then has medaled in 13 states, most recently winning a 2024 national championship in women’s singles. She is now competing at the Champions and Masters Pro levels. Her proudest pickleball moment is when she was first called ‘fierce’ on the court by one (and since then many more) of her toughest competitors. Her commitment to pickleball has everything to do with being the “fiercest” she can be and helping those around her do the same!
Carter Turner, a former tennis pro, started playing pickleball over 8 years ago after suffering a heart attack, and quickly found success at the highest levels. He has competed and medaled in tournaments across the country with his trademark “mean and loose” attitude. Locally, he is a popular pickleball instructor and has mentored many players who have gone on to successfully compete at high levels. His proudest pickleball moment so far has been winning the triple GOLD crown (singles, doubles and mixed) at the 2024 APP Vlassic Classic in Cincinnati.
