ABOUT THE FLORIDA STORM
Team Owners: Eddie and Marina Anderson
Florida Storm Pickleball is based out of Lakeland, Florida, which is the home of owners Eddie and Marina Anderson. Both Eddie and Marina are passionate about the sport of pickleball and creating opportunities and visibility for players of all ages in Central Florida. Eddie now brings his decades of basketball coaching expertise to pickleball and coaches the Lakeland Palms (All Florida Pro League). In 2024, he brought the Florida Southern College’s team to a remarkable 5th place finish in the first National Collegiate Championships.Their shared vision for the Florida Storm is to create an ideal environment for competition, camaraderie and sportsmanship for senior athletes while supporting the local community.

Eddie and Marina Anderson

Born and raised in Kentucky, Eddie played sports all his life, with basketball being his first love - playing and coaching for 30 years. His "amazing" pickleball journey began six years ago. He quickly started traveling to different parts of Florida to find advanced play and has played tournaments all over the U.S. He met the love of his life, wife Marina (team co-owner) at a tourney in Indianapolis. He has been a PPR certfied pickleball professional - helping advanced kids get better, including some who now play at the pro level. He coaches the Lakeland Palms pro team in FL and is excited to be joining the USLPL as co-owner of the Florida Storm.
